SUMMARY

Situated on the north side of the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center, the Idaho Central Credit Union Arena has the potential to take the Vandal basketball teams to a new level of national attention and interest. The new venue will strengthen recruiting, rally fan excitement and improve the residential campus environment for all students, faculty/staff and the university community.

In partnership with Lydig Construction, CR Concrete was contracted to perform the concrete building package encompassing structural footings, walls, cast in place stairs, stadium seat walls and all concrete flatwork.  CR Concrete self-performed all stairs, stadium seat walls and concrete floors.   The expectations were high for the concrete floors under basketball courts as they were regulated by NCAA standards requiring super flat and level specifications.

As a separated contract with Hoffman Construction, CR Concrete was also contracted for all the architectural concrete polished floors found on the main level.  This took advantage of the in-house quality control CR Concrete has in place for not only placing the concrete floors, but also polishing them.  A true one stop shop.

SUMMARY

The Spokane Business & Industrial Park in Spokane Valley, WA is one of the largest business and industrial parks in the nation. Today “The Park” as it is nicknamed has over 120 resident companies, 5 million plus square feet and employs in excess of 4500 people. In mid-2019, The Park’s owner and management company planned a new expansion to transform the southeast corner of the development.  Plans called for the construction of new space in multiple buildings to be called Euclid Logistics– a state of the art distribution and logistics center to be completed by the end of 2019.

SUMMARY

The I-90 Barker Rd Interchange Improvement was an extremely challenging project, that only had 45 working days to complete. CR was tasked with completing two RABs with colored and stamped concrete, a structural wall, new sidewalks and over mile curbing. The CR crews placed over 1250 CY of concrete in only 15 working days.

SUMMARY

Baker Construction transformed the former Macy’s 10,000 SF of retail space into a downtown pub featuring 30 taps of local craft beer, cider and wine, and golf-themed games. The existing concrete floor was a very rough structural slab.  The owners of Flatstick wanted an architectural concrete floor.  CR Concrete worked with Baker Construction on concrete floor options, ultimately choosing to install a concrete overlay with integral aggregate.

CR concrete was contracted to supply and install the concrete overlay slab.  From start to finish, CR installed 7500 SF of concrete overlay, grinding and polishing to a beautiful architectural concrete floor.  Additionally, CR installed an epoxy floor in the kitchen area.

SUMMARY

Cheney High School was originally constructed in 1966 with subsequent additions in 1970 and 1991; resulting in a 2-story 177,013 SF building. This project provides additional space to accommodate an expanding student population and addresses important safety and security concerns.

Over 20,000 SF of the concrete floors were exposed red/white/black terrazzo rock seeded polished floors.  CR performed all the terrazzo seeding during the finish process along with all grind and polish operations.   CR also had a turn key site concrete package which included architectural seat walls, sidewalks, and curbs.

CR Concrete was involved with the design team to help design the floor from concept to completion.

SUMMARY

The 2.6 million-square-foot, four-story robotic fulfillment center is on a nearly 80-acre site northeast of Interstate 90-Medical Lake interchange and just southwest of Spokane International Airport.

Garco Construction and CR Concrete teamed on the building concrete package.   In combination with Garco labor, CR Concrete placed and finished over 2.64 Million SF of concrete slabs including over 50,000 CY of concrete.  The project was praised by Amazon management as one of the best floor surfaces in the nation.

CR Concrete also performed weather damaged floor repairs, joint mitigation and epoxy floor modifications.

SUMMARY

The Podium is 135,000 SF including concessions, vendors, management, media, and medical training spaces. With 75,000 square feet of competition space, this facility has the capacity to seat 4,000 spectators and fans. It’s designed to accommodate a wide range of events such as track and field, basketball, karate, volleyball, wrestling and more. In addition, the highlight design feature is a 200 meter hydraulic banked track that transforms the field house into an arena for indoor track and field events.

CR Concrete was brought in early in the design process for budgeting and constructability of the high tolerance floor flatness requirements of the event track.

SUMMARY

New North Spokane Costco on US HWY #2. Construction included a 167,000 SF warehouse and a two lane roundabout. Construction was completed in 110 days.

CR was contracted to install the main high tolerance interior concrete floors, along with a turn key package to build the roundabout on Highway 2. This work included all earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete curbs, sidewalks, decorative concrete, and landscaping.

SUMMARY

The Redevelopment was a comprehensive plan to update and improve Riverfront Park for the next generation. Riverfront Park is the former site of Expo ’74 the World’s Fair and is consistently ranked as one of the top tourist attractions in Spokane; however, it had not seen a significant upgrade in more than 40 years. That is until 2014, when Spokane citizens overwhelmingly approved a $64 million dollar bond to improve and redevelop the Park.
